Summer Solstice Ceremony 2017 June 21

The longest day of the year is arriving soon – and we are celebrating the 2017 Summer Solstice at the THiNKSPOT in beautiful Lowville. All are welcome – all ages and stages – solo or in groups.

7:00pm to 7:45pm
A complimentary dinner will be served and a collaborative painting canvas will be available for guests to decorate.

7:00pm to 8:15pm
Sky Lanterns will be distributed in the Lowville School House for people to write on what they are grateful for and what they wish to let go of.

An alternative option – is a floating lantern for people who have experienced the loss of a loved family member, partner, friend, or pet.

*There are a limited number of floating lanterns and we will be creating a silent space to honour the moment so please be sure to reserve your floating lantern in the Eventbrite link provided.

8:15pm to 8:45pm
A special LIGHT Session (hosted by Kune Hua of true essence media and Brock Hewitt of Brock Hewitt: Stories in Sound ∞) will be held through ambient music to create a space for presence/meditation and unite our community. Guests are welcome to join us on our sacred space or bring blankets to sit on the grass.

From 9:00pm to 9:30pm
Release of Sky and Floating Lanterns.

Please RSVP by clicking the Eventbrite link and as at previous THiNKSPOT Solstice events, donations of personal effects for people experiencing homelessness (deodorant, tampons, feminine napkins, underwear, and toothbrushes) or a monetary donation to allow us to purchase items in bulk will be deeply appreciated.

We look forward to sharing the shortest night of the year together.
